The Bow Youth Center will provide a safe and enriching environment where school-age children can spend time with friends while choosing between a variety of activities within their own interests, abilities, and talents.

The Before School Program is available from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for grades K-8th. Your child will have an opportunity to socialize, work on homework, have a snack, participate in a morning club, or participate in physical recreational activities. Bow Youth Center teachers will walk with the Bow Elementary students over to their school at 7:45 a.m. Bow Youth Center teachers will also walk the Bow Memorial students over to their school at 8:20 a.m.

The After School Program is available from 2:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Bow Youth Center teachers will be at each school at the end of their day to walk students over to the Bow Youth Center. If your child has an after school activity (I.e., basketball, Excel, Snack & Study, Chess Club, Math Club, Girl/Boy Scouts, etc.) at their school, arrangements can be made for Bow Youth Center staff to be available to walk your child between the two facilities Transportation arrangements can also be made for those children attending activities at the Bow Community Center or the Albin Road athletic fields (soccer, baseball, softball, etc.).

The Bow Youth Center offers a variety of activities/clubs to meet the interests/needs of each child:

  • Library/Homework classroom is available each day with teachers available to assist children with homework (tutors will be available as needed) research topics of interest, and develop computer skills.
  • Art Room/Kitchen classroom is available each day with teachers offering choices of artistic interests.
  • Tabletop Game classroom is available each day with many choices of games, challenges, and game clubs.
  • Teen Recreation area (grades 5-8th) is available offering ping pong, pool table, foosball. The area will also be available to younger children at a scheduled time each day.
  • Multipurpose classroom will be available for clubs to meet (drama, music, dance, etc.).
  • Indoor recreational area (approximately 2,200 square foot area) is available for tetherball, ball games, running, jumping, etc.
  • Outdoor recreational areas are available offering outdoor activities as well as supervised hiking through the Bow Town Forrest.
